Feature

･Larger Radiation Disk

Compared to our regular VAL6 series, the radiation disk is 20% larger.
Because of this, the EPX is able to radiate the infrared heat to objects further wider away.

･Built in Heater for Fuel Line

As ambient temperature decreases, viscosity increases, to counterbalance this effect, a heater is built into the fuel line to keep the fuel moving smoothly.

･Long Operational Time

With a 58 liter (15.4 gallons) tank, the EPX is able to operate continously for 20 hrs with low output setting and 15 hrs with high output setting which enables it operate all night without refueling.

･High/Low Output Control

The EPX has a High and Low output control that enables its user to choose between a high or low out thus making it very economical.

･Built in Thermostat

Surrounding temperature can be maintained by the built in thermostat which is a standard equipment.
An external thermostat can also be connected via a connector to control temperatures that are a distant way possible.

Advanced Monitoring System

The color indication lamps are equipped in the main control panel. Not only it makes the mode of operation available but prompt troubleshooting is now possible by attaining precise information via various safety devices. Total 9 alarm can be identified in malfunction of the heater.

Normal operation

When the heater is operating properly, an Operation lamp lights.

Misfire

When the heater does not ignite or the flame is extinguished during operation, the Misfire lamp blinks and cooling operation starts with blinking Operation lamp for about three minutes.

Overheated

When the heater overheats, it shuts down automatically and the Overheat lamp blinks. Then cooling operation starts with blinking Operation lamp for about three minutes.

Tip-over

When the heater topples to the ground or gets a high impact, it shuts down automatically and the Tip-over lamp blinks. Then cooling operation starts with blinking Operation lamp for about three minutes.

Overvoltage

When the heater detects extremely high-voltage, it shuts down automatically and the Over-voltage lamp blinks.

Abnormal fan speed

When the combustion fan motor does not rotate, or rotate slowler than standard value, it shuts down automatically and 3 lamps (Overheat, Tip-over and Overvoltage) blink.

Improved Combustion Efficiency

The EPX's combustion efficiency has been improved. When compared to EP8JA(High)/KBE1JA heater, the EPX can heat further and wider than the EP8JA(High)/KBE1JA. However, even at the lower setting, the EPX is able to heat just as well with less fuel consumption.

The fuel consumption for EPX（Low) is about 70% of EP8JA（High) or KBE1JA
However, there is little difference in their heat transfer area.
This means that EPX is more efficient and less fuel consuming heater than EP8JA or KBE1JA.
